In 2005, we hired Paul and Erik Gabrielsen to build an 800 square foot addition to our house in East Hampton and to renovate the existing structure. The addition included a family room, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. We also added a new deck and fence that Paul built buy hand. All of the plans and permits were handled through Paul. To the existing house — they replaced the cedar shingle and roof, installed all new windows and doors (inside and out), changed all the moldings and painted the interior.
Overall, we were extremely pleased with the work. Paul and Erik were very hands on and were involved in every step of the project. They were on the job every day and we actually got a lot of comments from our neighbors about how consistent they were in showing up every day. Most importantly, they did an excellent job. All of the work they did was solid, professionally done. It has been a couple of years since the work was done and we haven’t had any problems. It is comforting to know that if a problem did arise I could count on them to come back and take care of it.
I will conclude by saying that if I had to do the job again, or ever needed additional work, I would make Paul and Erik my first and only call.
